Geatshead Old Town Hall by road

Getting to Gateshead Old Town Hall by road.

From the West, turn south from Askew Road on to the A184 and then almost immediately turn left and left again into West Street. In the evening, parking is available in the Old Town Hall car park on your left.

From the A167 from Newcastle, Durham or South Tyneside, turn off High Streen North into Lambton Street. From here, you can either trn right after about 150 yards and follow the one way system round to Swinburne Street where there is on street parking and a small car park or you can continue to the end of Lambton Street where you can turn right into West Street as above. Unfortunately the one way system is such that if you go too far you have to return to Askew Road and start again. You are in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike.
